Dive Onda is a boutique dive academy on Sairee Beach, run by industry leaders with over 15 years of experience. They're not a high-turnover dive shop — they keep groups small, use video tech to coach your technique, and take the time to actually teach.
As a LUM guest you get the outstanding diving experience — and it's all arranged before you arrive, with pick-up from your villa and none of the Sairee Beach browsing. The kind of thing that would otherwise eat up your whole first day.
Never dived before? That's how most people start here. You don't need to be a strong swimmer — just comfortable in the water. Small groups mean your instructor stays right beside you the whole time; most guests feel nervous on day one and hooked by day three. And with everything included — gear, licence, insurance and certification — there are no hidden costs to sort out along the way.
The Dive Onda experience
Max 3 students per instructor — often 2:1 or 1:1 for guests who want it. You get a coach, not a line leader.
Every session is filmed. Your instructor reviews your technique with you after each dive so you improve fast.
Start at 6 am for glassy water, a quiet reef and the best light of the day — or drop in at sunset, when the reef switches shift: hunting barracuda, morays on the prowl, blacktip reef sharks, and bioluminescence sparkling as dusk turns to dark.
Brand-new gear, internationally recognised certification, insurance, and all fees — included in the program price. No surprises, zero headaches.
Courses & pricing
Meet at 9:30 am. Theory session, then out on the boat for 2 dives in calm, shallow water. Video review at the end. Back by 5 pm.
Second theory at 9:30 am, then 2 open-ocean dives. Personalised feedback using your dive footage. Back by 5 pm.
Meet at 6:00 am for 2 final dives at sunrise. Back by 11 am to complete your exam. You leave certified.

Dive Onda is a modern dive center on Koh Tao, built around one focus: teaching people to dive properly — whether it's their first breath underwater or their next certification.
We work with beginners through Open Water certification and with advanced divers progressing into specialty courses, always in small groups with instructors who care about real skill — buoyancy, technique, confidence in the water — not just a card at the end. In-water video feedback lets you actually see your progress, so you leave diving better, not just diving certified.
